This charming mid-terrace barn conversion is located near to the delightful hamlet of Sparrowpit, in the lovely High Peak area of the Peak District. Situated on a working sheep farm with free range chickens, peacocks and pigs, in addition to lots of sheep and lambs. This lovely property retains many original features, such as exposed brickwork, period beams and natural wood, making it a truly special place for a cosy getaway with family, a small group of friends or for a romantic break as a couple. Outside, the enclosed patio area is perfect for an alfresco meal with loved ones whilst taking in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside and watching the abundant bird life, including the resident peacocks that often make their presence known quite early in the morning. Across from the patio is a secure metal bicycle lock up so you can sleep easy after a long day spent cycling the peaks. Just a mile away from this characterful cottage is the pretty little hamlet of Sparrowpit, situated between Chapel-en-le-Frith and the village of Peak Forest and boasting a delightful chapel, a village hall and a quaint farm shop. For those who enjoy walking in beautiful countryside, you could not ask for more lovely routes than those to both Edale and Castleton, with its ever-popular Blue John caves. Alternatively, for cycling enthusiasts, the Tissington Trail takes in the wonderful views of the Peak District National Park and the spa town of Buxton is also within easy reach. Peacock Cottage really is the perfect base from which to discover all the Peak District has to offer.
