Dark skies make this spot incredible for astronomy lovers - no light pollution means you'll see stars like never before. Fishing spots are available on-site for those who prefer quieter pursuits.

The accommodation sleeps 6 guests across 4 bedrooms - one king-size, one double and two singles. There are three bathrooms including an en-suite. The flagstoned kitchen features a long table perfect for family meals, while the lounge has two sofas and a cosy stove in a stone hearth. The private garden with hot tub is checked daily by Richard (who knows his stuff, if you know what I mean).

Visit the Llywelyn Monument (0.5 miles), explore Builth Wells (3 miles), or venture to the visitor centre (25 miles south). The cottage is just a short walk from local shops and pubs (0.5 miles). Pwllyn can be extended by including two adjacent cottages for larger groups.
