About Sycamore Lodge

Sycamore Lodge is a stunning 5-star timber lodge tucked away in the Welsh countryside near Rhayader. This secluded retreat offers breathtaking meadow views and peaceful surroundings where you can truly escape the daily grind. The lodge sits in its own private space with uninterrupted views that'll make you forget your inbox even exists.

Set in rural Mid Wales, this location is perfect for nature lovers and stargazers. The area boasts spectacular walking trails right from your doorstep and abundant wildlife. The Elan Valley is just minutes away, offering dramatic landscapes and reservoirs. After a day exploring Rhayader (4 miles) with its independent shops and cafes, or visiting the Red Kite Feeding Station, you'll appreciate returning to your peaceful hideaway.

The accommodation sleeps 6 guests across three bedrooms - two doubles with doors opening onto the decking and one twin room. The open-plan living area features a fully-equipped kitchen with all modern appliances, dining space and a comfortable sitting area with an electric woodburner-effect stove. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable year-round.

Sycamore Lodge absolutely lived up to expectations! !! On arrival, we received a very warm welcome and enjoyed our 3 night break in a spotless, comfortable and well equipped lodge. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to others and hope to return, plenty still to discover in this part of Wales!

Excellent lodge great location with wonderful views across farmland to distant hills. Lodge is very comfortable, well equipped and everything is in excellent condition, well maintained. A wonderful couple of days away spent at Sycamore Lodge. Beautiful lodge in a stunning location, fantastic views from the patio doors which overlooked a peaceful meadow definately a place to relax and unwind. Attentive owners who appreciate the finer details, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to go again in a couple of months time.
I stayed at Sycamore Lodge with 5 friends, the place was clean and had everything you need. Kerena was a lovely host who met us on arrival and was happy to help whenever we needed her! My friend had dropped her phone under the decking and Stephen was out with a screwdriver within 10 minutes, ready to unscrew the decking and retrieve it for us! Really really lovely hosts, will hopefully be back. The place was so secluded which we really loved.

Perfect. Kerena greeted us on arrival and checked the hot tub every morning and filled the bird feeding station outside the kitchen window. Perfect if you are a keen walker and enjoy the countryside. Quite out in the sticks so did a lot of driving. But would highly recommend for a completely relaxing break.

It was the most perfect break in a beautiful lodge. Everything was thought of, everything. We couldn't have asked for more. It was so clean and comfortable, warm and well equipped. The views from the hot tub were incredible. So calming and tranquil with lovely lovely hosts. Highly recommend and definitely going back!

Sycamore Lodge was perfect, we couldnt fault it. It met all our expectations and exceeded them. There wasnt anything the owner hadnt thought of. There were lovely extra touches, for example wine and milk in the fridge, coffee and tea and welsh cakes on arrival. The lodge was ideally located for a tranquil holiday and fabulous views from the hot tub.
We have had a simply wonderful holiday and would recommend the lodge we stayed in to anyone and everyone. Not just the lodge, but the natural beauty of the surrounding area as well is an absolute hidden gem which we loved exploring. The only thing that needs a mention is that the supposedly unlimited wifi internet access is in fact NOT unlimited with our holiday occurring at the end of the month we were the ones who were left without internet because of the monthly data allowance having been used up by previous occupants. Bear this in mind when like me you were planning on doing a little bit of remote work, or simply wish to keep up with private emails etc.
