We drove all the way from York and honestly, it was such a lovely trip! The cottage was tucked away in a peaceful spot, giving us total privacyand the views of the Black Mountains were stunning. Watching the birds at the feeders outside the balcony was a real highlight. It was perfect for relaxing, with a cosy fire and underfloor heating. We enjoyed exploring nearby villages like Abergavenny and Crickhowell, which were charming. Overall, a fantastic escape for some peace and quiet!

This lodge is absolutely lovely with a stunning view. The owners are super friendly and give fab advice while letting you engage as much or as little as you want. We really loved our stay, especially with the cute touches like dog treats! Can't wait to come back!!

This place is a great little hideaway! It's very clean, tidy and definitely comfortable. We did loads of walking so being able to soak in the hot tub was such a treat for our tired feet and legs. The owner provided loads of free washing and dishwasher tabsand there's ample drying space at the back of the property. If you enjoy walking, there's a fab route down the canal into the lovely little town of Abergavenny. Overall, it's just really nice and we wouldn't think twice about coming back. The owners were super helpful and quick to respond to any questions.

We've just come back from a fantastic 4-night stay at Limetree Lodge. The location is lovely and even though the owners live nearby, we were able to enjoy our stay without any interruption. The lodge was immaculately clean and really well equipped. There was loads of information provided by the owners about places to visit during our stay. It was a perfect way to celebrate my 50th birthdayand we would definitely recommend a stay at the lodge to anyone!
Charlotte
We stayed here over Christmas and it was absolutely perfect. We're used to staying in caravans, so we always bring along dish cloths and salt and pepper, but this wasn't needed here. The lodge had everything we needed and more. The location was great for long walks with the dogand everything you could need is within walking distance. Even though this is in the owner's garden, we never felt like our privacy was compromised. We would definitely visit again!
Mark
What a fabulous lodge! The views from the hot tub and balcony were truly outstanding. It had everything we needed for a fantastic week! The bed was really comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The cottage was well heated, but once we got the log burning fire going, we didn't need any other heating at all. The location was excellent for great walks and just a short stroll to the village of Gilwern. The hosts were friendly, approachableand provided plenty of local information without being intrusive.
James
It would have been great to have a bit more wardrobe space. The owners were super friendly and always helpful, no matter the situation. This really contributed to a comfortable and relaxing holiday that we both thoroughly enjoyed!

The owners were really friendly and graciousand even though the lodge was in their garden, we didn't feel like our privacy was compromised at all. The location was perfect. Just a short walk from the canal and all the shops and pubs that Gilwern has to offerand only a 5-minute drive from Abergavenny, which was stunning. We visited 4 times during our week.
