We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. It's set in a remote, peaceful location surrounded by lush green scenery perfect for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the freestanding bathtub in the bedroom, where you can soak while enjoying the stunning views. The outdoor hot tub was another highlight relaxing under the stars with such a gorgeous backdrop was unforgettable.The cabin itself is comfortable and tastefully decorated, with thoughtful touches throughout. We especially appreciated the lovely welcome basket for us and our dogs it made us feel right at home. The whole area is quiet and serene, ideal for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful stay at Ystrad Wen! The cottage is beautifully decorated and was well equipped with everything you needed. The views overlooking the countryside were absolutely incredible a lot of wildlife spotting to be done! The bed was so comfortable and the hottub was truly the cherry on the cake! Possibly the best cottage weve ever stayed in! Properly dog friendly with fenced off garden, and whilst there is an adjacent cabin also fantastic there is a good amount of space between them. Theres also dog treats and toys. Fantastic views, a tranquil setting, and a hot tub!! The cabin is really well appointed to a very high standard, the Welcome Tray is plentiful and thoughtful with some lovely little touches. Furniture is really comfortable, theres lots of helpful information available too. Its tucked away from the owners property but they are readily available should you need any help. They are also extremely helpful and friendly, nothing seems too much trouble. The whole thing has been so well thought out to ensure a perfect get away. Cant praise it enough and we will definitely be going back.

Had a fantastic few days staying here. The cabin and surroundings are stunning. A lovely welcome pack which included delicious homemade brownies and jam for us, and treats and a ball for our dog. The little extra things provided were thoughtful and much appreciated. The hosts were very welcoming, helpful and always available if needed. Wonderful views from the cabin and hot tub. Beautiful sunrises, and starry nights we were very blessed with the weather! Perfect for complete relaxation or to access the many attractions of Mid Wales. Would not hesitate to recommend and we will definitely be returning.

We stayed for my 40th, The cabin was beautiful and the location was fantastic, the welcome pack was top notch with local produce, I meet banty one of the owner, we spoke about many things and had an enjoyable conversation. i will go back in the future. Nice cabin, with everything you need, the extra thought and touches by the owners made all the difference. In a great rural location with spectacular views down the valley. We stayed over Christmas and the generous, friendly owners had provided festive touches to the cabin and a really nice welcome hamper pack. If your feeling fit take the dog on a lung bursting walk up onto the common. We will recommend to family and friends.

The owners went out of their way to make our stay totally unforgettable. It was my wife's birthday on the day we arrived and the owners had left a beautiful bouquet of flowers and bottle of wine along with a birthday card for her. We decided to have a stroll down to the 'local pub' highly recommended and Banty even offered to give us a lift back later in the day. We highly recommend staying here and we will certainly be back. If you're considering booking this cabin, do it! The cabin is gorgeous and the location is amazing! The real difference with Ystrad Wen is the attention to detail. Rachel hasn't overlooked anything when presenting this beautiful holiday cabin. Welcome basket on arrival for us and the dogs was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Won't go in to too much detail regarding the extra touches as to not spoil the delightful of realising how much careful thought went in to it. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants the perfect relaxing break. I would also suggest to anyone who does book to consider a day out around Elan Valley, stunning views of the dams and then lunch in Rhayader.

An exceptional property in a spectacular location, with high specification and quality throughout. Amazing views from property and hot tub alongside abundance of wildlife ensures that you spend many hours watching, listening and enjoying the tranquility of nature. Look out for the hares, red kites and numerous birds. Fascinating to watch the sheep's routines and can set your clock by them! The owners provide the best welcome pack we have ever seen and tasted! Chocolate brownies were delicious. They make sure your stay is enjoyable and we really appreciated their advice on walks, places to visit and the history of their farm. Made a 60th birthday holiday very special with lasting memories. Dogs really enjoyed the garden and ability to walk around the local area safely.

We had a 4 night stay at Ystrad Wen in June and we absolutely loved it. The cabin was spotless, and everything we needed was there. Our welcome hamper had some lovely treats the homemade brownies fab! and was one of may really nice touches, like the binoculars, the sketch pad and pencils and the fresh flowers. The Cabin is 1 of 2 set in a lovely meadow field which magnificent views, and even with the open views it felt very private. The hot tub was perfect too, fresh crystal clear water when we arrived, you can tell it is changed between guests, which is appreciated. The view from the tub is awesome too. It was great getting a text on the morning we were due to arrive to welcome us and let us know what time the cabin would be ready, and some tips on directions too, so we managed to get there early with no wrong turns. If you are considering Ystrad Wen, I would encourage you to book it! We are hoping to be able to return sometime soon.

Ystrad Wen Review We recently visited Ystrad Wen with my husband and our two dogs, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The dogs loved it, and the beautiful scenery provided amazing views and the soothing sounds of nature. The bath and shower facilities were outstandingso clean and wellmaintained, also the hot tub was a great delight after long walks ,it was impressive. I accidentally left a personal item behind, and the kind staff promptly posted it back to me upon request, which I really appreciated. The area is stunning and secluded, making it a very romantic getaway. We fully enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. We were even treated to a surprise bottle of wine for my husbands birthday from the owners We will definitely be back and would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a complete escape from the norm. Absolutely loved our first time in Wales and the main part was how beautiful the cottage was it was everything we wanted and the views were amazing the hot tub was an amazing touch. The owners made sure we arrived safely and if we needed anything else which was really kind however the way the Cottage was set up nothing else was needed. If I could put more stars I would however they only ask out of 5. Will definatly planning on coming back to this property!! Definitely suggest the Red kite feeding as was spectacular site to see.

We had the most relaxing long weekend here. The views are beautiful, we loved everything about the cabin. All the little touches made it even better, the owners had even thought of the dog! Our dog loved staying here and watching the sheep across the hillside. I'd recommend waking up early and watching the sunrise over the hillside in front of the cabin. 5 Stars! WOW, loved it, loved it, loved it! It exceeded our expectations! Stunning all round views, all you can hear is birds singing and little lambs bouncing about calling their mums , It really is very peaceful and quiet, we loved the accommodation, it was spotless and furnished to a high standard, it is huge for two people, the bed and the bedroom were the biggest we have ever stayed in, and the stand alone bath with the breath taking views was just stunning and so relaxing. The hot tub was just what we needed and big for just two people! And again the views, wow! We really appreciated the treats in the welcome basket.
