The Stables in Forden, Forden

On arrival we noted that the hot tub could be seen from the drive way (to Edderton Hall, multi room holiday accommodation) passes directly infront of the property. We contacted the owner who came to see us and suggested we place the hot tub lid against the small fence to stop people looking and that they had no complaints before attitude. No photos of the property advertised show this. It's about the only angle that isn't there. We decided to try this within 20 minutes of being in the hot tub we had a van drive past that could clearly see us and the lady that had got out of the van to open the gate for the van to come through walked past. Then the flies in the living area and bedroom that the in-house zapper didn't seem to be able to control. Luckily by keeping the doors and windows shut and using most of the two cans fly spray and swatter. By the third morning, no flies. The WiFi is intermittent at best so the smart TVs mainly redundant unless you have your own mobile WiFi dongle like we do. Luckily we like reading, doing crosswords, suduko, have a mobile DVD player and take some of our own favourite films with us on holiday. The view was lovely and the red kite that circled the fields infront of us on several days was spectacular. If you like to mix, are active and aren't private people then this maybe for you. But it should be made more obvious in the advertising.

Excellent place The Stables ! Really clean , everything you could ask for a wonderful break . Hot tub adds that bit extra joy !! 7mins to Welshpool . Trip to castle a must & cuppa & cake at the Pit Stop cafe at the airport . Would recommend The Stables for an away from it all break . Will be coming back . !!

Clean and tidy, quiet location with lovely views. Really enjoyed our second visit here and would definitely return again in the future.
