DanyCoed is an amazing property with views that will literally take your breath away. The hot tub was a definite treat too and was private and ready to use when we got there. The property itself was very clean and packed full of amenities. Particular thanks for using ethical and sustainable products, this was thought through and very considerate. On the occasion we had to contact the owner, she was extremely friendly and very helpful. We are already looking to book our return visit and all felt a pang of sadness when we had to leave! Thank you we will be back!

DanyCoed is a fantastic property just yards away from Offas Dyke. The lodge is in a great location for lots of walks. Te kitchen is so well equipped and the space is perfect for a family to enjoy.
I recently stayed at Dan y Coed with my family, from the youngest 11 to the oldest 87 and it was absolutely perfect for everyone. The lodge was absolutely perfect, we arrived to the lodge with lots of beautiful snow covering all the fields around. The lodge was beautifully clean and the hosts had made sure it was beautiful and warm. The whole place is lovely and clean and the rooms were so cozy! We absolutely loved our stay, my children even said it was one of their favourite places they had ever stayed! The hot tub is gorgeous and we used it all weekend! Thank you for a fabulous stay, would recommend to anyone.
This is the fourth time we've stayed here and we absolutely love it. A perfect setting, nice and quiet. Only things we would say and it's not criticism is that there could be two new pictures put up where there's gaps in the lounging room. The toilet has a bad smell, sewerage possibly. Also the mats at the front and back door could be changed. As the decking is very slippery walking to the hot tub maybe just wash it or put a runner there to prevent slipping

Lovely cabin in an absolutely stunning location, very well equipped with plates, pans, glasses, towels etc. Some areas need at little TLC. There was sticky tape left on walls & doorways from banners from previous guests. The dining rooms chairs are wobblywill collapse soon no grill rack for the grill section of oven, the hot tub need a good service as the jets are blocked so not bubbling. But overall we had a lovely stay.

Absolutely stunning cabin! Felt almost like out of a fairytale, all made of beautiful wood surrounded by picturesque scenery! A lovely escape from reality to enjoy and slow down! The hot tub was amazing and we had all we could require provided, an instruction manual, tips on what we could do during our visit, board games, so on! The property owner was very diligent, keeping us well informed. I would absolutely recommend, Im missing our weekend abode very much so!

Perfect lovely cabin , Well equipped for a short break. Only one thing that lets it down is the check in time and check out time. Cant check in till 4pm then thats most of the day gone. Check out time is 10am. But apart from that its a lovely place to stay

Lovely location with amazing views. The lodge was perfect size for a family of 8 adults and 2 dogs. A couple of bulbs were missing from some lights and we couldn't find any kitchen tongs but that's not to say they weren't there, as there was lots of kitchen storage and everything else you need! Hot tub was perfect although need to take care on decking as it does get slippy if it's been raining. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again without hesitation. Thank you.

We had a really wonderful family stay, celebrating my Daughters 18th Birthday. Plenty of room for the 8 of us and our 2 spaniels. The cabin is lovely and warm, fully equipped, even with towels for the hot tub. Plenty of space in the utility for the air fryer we brought with us too! Two fridges means you can stock up on food and drinks! The only thing I would say missing, is a lamp in the front room to had to the snug feel. The views are absolutely stunning and I was sad to wake up without them today! It is very remote but absolutely worth it with the beautiful surroundings, walking path and animals outside. Local shop is a 10 minute drive. We will definitely book again

We had a lovely stay for my birthday celebrations. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Location was stunning and so peaceful would highly recommend and would absolutely return in the future.
Absolutely beautiful accommodation, immaculate. Very secluded, nothing around but beautiful views. So peaceful. Had a wonderful stay and we will definitely be staying again. Cannot fault anything with this place at all.
It was absolutely perfect for us and our large dog. The property was spotlessly clean and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Hot tub is fantastic of course, even nicer in the rain! Our dog loved having a big garden to sniff about in and there's a great walk right on the doorstep being the Offas Dyke footpath. We had eggs from the farm, had a great meal in the Horse and Jockey pub which is lovely. Can't go wrong with this place.

This is the second time weve stayed at Dan y coed. And we just love it. Never want to come back home. Its equipped with everything and more that you need. Its turkey like a home away from home but with a stunning view. The owner Miranda is friendly and extremely healpful wth anything you need. Listening to the sheep and watching the pigs was just blissful. Would highly recommend and Im sure we will be visiting again. The lodge was ideal for our party of 7, mix of teenagers and adults and two dogs, stunning location with excellent facilities, enjoyed the hot tub and amazing walking from the property. Eco cleaning products were lovely and property had such a friendly and welcoming vibe. Kettle was replaced with brand new within an hour of letting owner know it was leaking, amazing! Only downside we had was one night it was really cold but the heating wasn't working but when I phoned they did ask if we wanted heaters. The house was lovely and the scenery was brilliant and it's fantastic if you have a dog.

Such a beautiful lodge. We were able to totally switch off and just enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. Due to time of year and such hot weather we were plagued by flying bugs in the decked area but that's nobody's fault and can't be helped. I'd fully recommend the farms fresh eggs, they were delicious! I have 2 dogs, a gentle well behaved whippet and a scared rescue fox hound who thinks she's houdini, however the garden was fully enclosed, I just had to put the string off my bikini on the side of the gates where she was able to squeeze through, which I stupidly forgot about and left, they're probably wondering why there was fluorescent pink string on the gates

Perfect stay. ...we have been travelling to wales for years and this is the best all round place we have stayed in...loved it ....the hot tub is a nice touch as we were fortunate with the weather and after a long day walking it was perfect to chill have a glass of bubbles and listen to the silence

Dan Y Coed was a homely, clean, well equipped lodge with beautiful views. It was very spacious and had everything we needed available. Beds were comfy and linentowels of good quality. A nice touch was the eco friendly cleaning goods provided. Wifi was good and the hot tub very relaxing. It was the perfect place to celebrate my Dad's 80th Birthday, he loved it! Will definitely recommend to others.
This was our third visit, we do absolutely love this lodge and its location. I did mention 6 months ago when we came that not all the buttons on the hot tub work properly. There is only one jet that is very powerful and if you sit next to it it's not very pleasant. They should all be working evenly. This doesn't seem to have been looked at. On this recent stay the shower door was broken and wouldn't close at all.

This was our 3rd time of staying there and would definitely stay there again. We had a couple of issues this time which was no Internet for the 1st day and a half of our 3 night stay but this was no fault of their own but Miranda went above and beyond and got it sorted. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning.
Beautiful place and we were lucky to be there when the snow was down which made the views absolutely stunning! Cabin was lovely and clean and really pretty all round.
